We can't help but brag just a little bit. While our students typically do well in competitions throughout North America, at the Toronto Open Swing/Hustle Dance Championships, they absolutely dominated the podium.

Following are the results for any Ottawa competitor who made Finals or better. Ottawa dancers are shown in colour- and we're proud to have had a hand in teaching nearly every one of them at some point over the past 3 years, as well as many of them on a regular basis today. We commend them for their hard work, talent and fabulous attitudes. Go, Canada!

Highlights: An Ottawa dancer appeared on the podium in every couples' division, and in many cases Ottawa was present in all top-three placements in a division. Two Ottawa dancers competed for the first time and brought home a lot of hardware between them! Ottawa's followers appeared EVERYWHERE on the podium! And, a number of Ottawa dancers ALSO achieved what's known as a "picket fence" - that's when all the judges have a competitor placed in first, so all the "1s" are lined up like a fence.
