Got Lines - Line Dancing (Stittsville Ontario)
Got Lines - Line Dancing teaches Line Dancing in the Ottawa villages of Stittsville and Richmond, Ontario. We are the only line dance club affiliated with the Eastern Ontario Square and Round Dance Association (EOSARDA).
Thursday evenings from 7:30 - 8:30pm, I teach beginner and intermediate line dance lessons in the Pretty Street Community Centre (2 Pretty Street) in the Ottawa village of Stittsville, Ontario.
The next session begins on Thursday April 5, 2012 and runs for 10 lessons, terminating on June 7, 2012.
With the exception of the first lesson, each week I review the dances that we learned in the last two weeks and then I teach a new dance. Twice during a session we just do a straight review of dances learned to date and there is no teach. No previous dancing experience is necessary.
While we dance to country music, we also dance to many other types of music. Rhythms taught include waltz, cha cha, west coast swing and rumba along with a number of standards such as The Canadian Stomp. The goal is to have fun, get fit and maybe even learn to dance. All ages are welcome. Dress is casual. Couples, singles and families are all welcome.
The Dance Instructor is Dave Western. I have been teaching Line Dancing for the past 10 years in the Ottawa area and I am also President of EOSARDA.
I am also available for parties and special events.
