Take-a-Step Rounds is an Ottawa-based Round Dance (Choreographed Ballroom Dance) Teaching Club and a member of the Eastern Ontario Square and Round Dance Association.

Choreographed Ballroom Dancing incorporates all of the regular ballroom dance rhythms. Choreography is directed verbally on the dance floor by a Dance Cuer, enabling all couples on the floor to dance the same steps at the same time. Round Dance has many choreographed sequences of steps that are borrowed from or can be transferred directly to free-style ballroom dancing. Round Dancers don't have to memorize a vast list of dance sequences. Experienced free-style ballroom dancers usually experience little difficulty adapting to the Round Dance environment.

This year, Dance Instructors Don and Jean Clingin are teaching Introductory Jive, Rumba and Cha and Intermediate Waltz and Two Step. Dancers of all ages who have already completed an introductory Round Dance course or who are experienced Free-style Ballroom dancers are welcome.

Lessons take place at St. Mark's Anglican Church Hall, 1606 Fisher Avenue, Ottawa, ON
on Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30 pm starting on September 9, 2010 and running through until April 28, 2011, but there will be no lesson on Thursday, September 23, 2010.
